Traffic On A Website and CPA

Have you ever slaved day and night working on your traffic on a website, researching your keywords or even paid for some form of advertising trying to drive traffic for a website?

Paid advertising will cost you some money to begin with in the hope that it will bring buying customers. You might be surprised to find that all the visitors to your site are not necessarily good regardless of whether it is paid or free traffic. Allow me to explain; an interested visitor who visits your site and browses through your content would be considered good traffic.
Quality keywords related to your site will bring traffic from the search engines, which would also be considered good traffic. You may also receive visitors from other forms of advertising like newsletters, articles or from people who have recommended your site to their friends and you could consider these visitors to be genuinely interested in your site and may buy or sign up for the service you are offering, and all this traffic soon ads up.
If you are paying for your traffic on a website some of the visitors could be costing you money if they don't buy anything which could be considered as bad as you would hope that your advertising brings you the best prospects possible and the best bang for your buck.
News Flash! - Organic Traffic Is KING!
Believe it or not, organic traffic is growing and paid traffic is declining, but the best part about it is organic is free. Recent statistics taken from Google show that the first paid results receive a 2-3% click through rate and the first organic results receive a 41-45% click through rate, which equates to 22 times more traffic. The side paid results receive a dismal 1-2% click through rate and the second organic results receive an 11-18% click through rate, and that equates to 10 times more traffic.
So imagine if 100 people search for your keyword on Google, a pathetic 5 people will click on the paid listings, astounding isn't it? If you get 100 daily clicks from AdSense, the number one organic listing is receiving 1000-2000 click trough's every day, that's 10-20 times more traffic, for free I might add, and even the third to the tenth result is still getting more traffic than the number one paid listing.
So what are you going to do about it?
Here are some tips, "The Traffic Triad"
Tip 1. Content (keywords, domain name, tags etc.)
Search engines love original content; Keyword rich content will drive more traffic for you but don't stuff your content with keywords, as this will have a negative effect. A keyword rich domain name is also a good traffic driver as this is the first thing search engine robots look for.
Tip 2. Links (inbound, outbound, authority etc.)
Back linking is a very effective SEO strategy, but it all depends on the quality of the site that you link from, any old link will have no effect, and the higher the authority of the incoming link, the greater the benefit will be for your site.
Tip 3. Activity (traffic, RSS subscriptions, comments, updates etc.)
The final stage of the traffic triad could possibly be the most important and perhaps the most over looked, Google's recent algorithm change means that they sway more towards human activity on a site, usually in the form of comments. Although the previous two elements are important the last stage is the most effective. Another recent development is the introduction of guest writers who submit original work on your blog or site, which will raise your authority.
To sum up, get quality and original content, generate a minimum of 10 quality links and last but by no means least, generate human activity, this way the search engine's know that you are a real person. Once you have your traffic on a website and ranking sorted you will need to monetize your efforts, this is where CPA comes into the equation.
CPA Overview
I'll assume that not everyone knows what CPA is so here is a quick overview of what it is and how it can make you money, but I won't go into too much detail here as it would take a book to explain. Cost Per Action, it's an online marketing opportunity that pays you based on a specific action. For example, if you participated in these offers, you would be paid each time a prospect completed a specific action, such as registering on a website, filling out a form, signing up for an offer, or perhaps just visiting a particular website.
Put simply, when you promote the offers you earn a commission every time someone completes a specific action i.e. entering their name, email of zip code, they don't need to buy anything at this stage for you to get paid, how sweet is that? Commonly all that is required is an email or zip code but can include three or four page surveys, applications, software downloads etc.
Although they vary and their associated requirements for an action, there is an abundance of high paying CPA offers and programmes that you can get involved in. It is, in fact, one of the easiest ways to make money online with very little effort in comparison to many of the traditional marketing campaigns and opportunities.
You can expect to be paid anywhere between 25 cents to $4.00 for an email capture and other options paying you as much as $150.00 for a multi part process i.e. verifying their address or taking a free trial, with this process though you may have to wait a few weeks to get paid when the prospect has completed the cost per action process, something to bear in mind.
For example, a company might pay the CPA network $10.00 per lead and in return they pay you $3.00 for the connection to that company. It is advisable that you sign up to a number of networks. Most networks offer a variety of offers, so if you join one network you can participate in multiple campaigns through one site. If you look at the network as the middleman, connecting publishers and advertisers, and in return you receive a percentage of the offer.
When you are accepted into a network you get a link similar to any other affiliate programme, or an affiliate link. They also track all of your activity and provide all the analytics that you require to track your cost per action campaigns. You have the flexibility to promote multiple offers covering a wide variety of niche markets and receive one pay check for your total earnings. The networks may also assign you an agent to help get you off the ground and help address any of your concerns with many networks offering as many as 1,500 different offers in their database giving you a huge variety of niches.
Also you will receive all the promotional material related to your campaign in the form of email swipes, banners and text ads etc.
